don\'t know where is belongs to, wheels/tires or Problem?

when I switched back to 17\" tires 2 weeks ago, I found the trip odometer moved less. when w/ winter tires (205/55R16), I drove 40.9km each way to and from work, but now I only drove 40.1km, that\'s mean 800m less when using 17\". I think the size of the rim/tires only affect speedo but not the trip meter. anyone has this finding?? thanks.

I find the same to happen. The distance I travel daily according to the trip computer is slightly less with my summer tires. (winter: 205/50/17, summer 225/40/18). I don\'t mind - it\'s all good...less mileage on the car. :D

Every tire size, whethere it be a slight change in rim ratio, tire ratio, tread width there will be some slight REVOLUTIONS PER MILE OR KILOMETER even if the same size% is kept the same.
