Hello Everyone,

I am new here, so…hi! I went to my local Mazda Dealership to test drive a 3 on the weekend, I really liked it! When I got back I had the dealer price it out for me. I asked for the following:

-GS w/auto and air.

-Quoted: 21654

-Minus my trade in (my current car is black booked between 1400 and 2900) the dealer gave me a “deal” and is going to give me 3500 for it.

-Minus a “Recent Grad” bonus - $500 ;)

--Minus 2 g’s down

w/ all that it goes down to $18,377

-It will be financed at 3.9% over 5 years so it equaled $338/m

What do you all think? Am I getting a good deal? I plan on going to another dealership tomorrow to see if he will get me a better deal. Mind you, I live in Windsor I am not sure whether that affects the price.

Thanks!!

Greg.

Is the price before taxes and the other crap they charge?

No, thats after taxes OTR. I went to another dealership today, they couldnt come close to matching that price, so I am going to go back to the initial dealership on the weekend and get the paperwork started...UNLESS anyone has any other ideas.

later,

that\'s a great deal, I doubt another dealership will come close to that price. Just make sure it is indeed OTR when u get the paperwork done. good luck!

thanks for the reply! I made sure that it was OTR at the dealership, he assured me it was.

I went to Windsor Mazda today to see if he could match the price from the Dealership in Chatham, he couldn\'t, he was kind of a jerk. I happen to live in Windsor, so i asked if he would honor my warranty (I knew he had to, but I thought I\'d ask for fun) and this was his reply:

\"Yeah, we have to honor your warranty, but we will not TREAT YOU LIKE OUR CUSTOMER and if you were ever stuck on the side of the road in Windsor DON\'T CALL US because we wont PICK YOU UP. We just honor the warranty, don\'t expect anything special from us\"

He then showed me that Windsor Mazda is the \"most successful\" dealership in Windsor and that The Mazda dealership in Chatham is on the verge of closing down (they have been in business since the 1940\'s...) AND he called the Owner of the dealership in Windsor \"an idiot\"

Does anyone think that its worth bringing this to Mazda Canada\'s attention?

Thanks again for the feedback,

Greg.

wow, if you look here (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/board.php?FID=8) you\'ll see that you\'re not the only one with nasty dealership experience.. unfortunately it seems like there are more \'bad\' experiences than \'good\' :(

on a side note, mazda roadside assistance should cover you and you should be able to get a tow/pick up within a certain distance so you wouldn\'t be stranded b/c windsor mazda won\'t pick you up.

ha, yeah - thats nuts. They need to take a page out of Saturns service, they\'re awesome...except their cars are made of recycled water bottles.

I must say, the Chatham MAzda dealership was very cool to me.

That was a very stupid comment to make by Windsor Mazda.....the real money comes not from the sale of a car but the service afterwards, so usually a dealership is more concerned with where you do the service. Regardless, I would not give any business to that dealer, not matter how inconvenient for you.

yeah, it isnt really too inconvenient. I live in Windsor, but my family lives in Chatham so i am there all the time.
