Do you think 40 offset is too low? The wheel in question is 16x6.5 with 40 offset. I believe the stock 16\'s are 52 offset, so that\'s a big difference in my books...
I really do like the pushing out of the wheel to the fender, but I think it may be too much?

I don\'t think you will have a problem. I know people who put 7\" wide wheels with 45 offset have no problems and 6.5\" wide wheels with 40 offset would stick out the same.

How about 17x7 40mm offset?

I don\'t know alot about rims and I was hoping you could shed some light. I have a m3 sedan btw.

Rims should work. Tires won\'t work as they\'d be too small...
