View Full Version : Where can I legally download music......

Are there any sites that somebody can recommend that I can pay to download music, the only catch being that the quality has to be really good. I\'ve tried Puretracks and the songs are at best 192kbps and I want 320kbps or higher if possible. I really can\'t stand listening to music that sounds like $hit. I know I can download the music for free, but some songs that I like are not available on most free P2P sites, and if they are they\'re crap quality.
Any help would be appreciated.

A lot of people use this site: http://www.allofmp3.com
It\'s run from \"Mother Russia with love\"(r) and before you download you can select your preffered format (mp3, acc, etc.) and the bit rate (128,160,192,etc).
Oh, yeah did I mention it\'s cheap, too? :D

can I add one more question? what software can cut some part of the song, so I can transfer to my phone as a ringtone? I got a software that can convert CD to mp3 files, but can\'t be doing sections.

MPTrim (http://www.mptrim.com/)
but you still get a sizable file b/c of the bitrate.. i guess you could decrease the bitrate for a phone to 24 or 64kbps but then you need other software..unless you have a ton of space..

lol.. actually.. back when mp3s were coming out and were the rage, HD space was pretty scarce (relatively) and there werea lot of mp3s with 10sec of silence (leadouts and stuff) which was annoying and if trimmed could save you a few KBs ;)
the other day i got the moto v551 for my gf and i wanted to try out an MP3 rintone.. and i dug up an old copy of MPTrim i had.. and then i just went to the website to see what the latest version would be.. voila :)
