Red Camera Traffic Light

its on yonge and wilson ave...i was goin southbound and yellow light change and im still inside the intersection about 2mts more and light turn red, will \"red light traffic cam\" snap a pic of my car, almost /before i cross the line (pedestrian)....how much is the fine? and will there be demerit points too???

the cams are triggered by sensors.. i believe the sensor activates when you \'cross\' the \"stop behind this line on red\" line and it\'s while the red light is on. the camera takes 2 pix about 1sec apart. this is to verify that you ran the red and not \'stopped late\' (the latter happened to me once at night and all i saw was 2 flashes in my rearview mirror - i was shitting my pants but it was all good in the end)

fine is 110bux and no demerit points b/c they cannot prove who was in the vehicle but they bill the owner of the plates.

thanks for the info....im more concern wid the demerit points coz my insurance is already high....well i miscalculated and its too late to stop going that speed downhill.........well anyways sh_it happens....thanks again...

Nothing personal but demerit points are nothing if you actually hit someone in their right of way.

Unfortunately I\'ve been on the receiving end of a red-light runner. Killed my car but somehow I was walking on my own out of the hospital with no injuries or scratches at the end of the day.

well ur right, im aware of that..it juz comes instinctively (insurance will jack up!) if u make mistakes in traffic rules/got ticket violation...

but in my case i wasnt really speeding/being reckless and i believe it happen to any drivers out there when ur in a situation (light changes to amber & u miss the light change and to slow down) to either to have a hard break or juz get accross , in my case nobody\'s making a left turn and hitting the brakes will put my car in the middle of the intersection.......well regardless, that arguement wont do anythin if i hit somebody...

well thanks for ur story and its nice to know ur not hurt badly... we learn something from that...
