Help! i want HIDs ***newbie here

hey guys, i just bought my mazda 3 last week tuesday.. and i LOVE IT !!!

i noticed that alot of people have replaced the stock bulbs with HIDs. The added visibility at nights these bulbs provides is amazing **not to mention the look .

i was just wondering where i could purchase a full HID kit? i prefer to pruchase things of this sort in person, but im willing* to puchase a kit online also. If anybody knows a good place that sells affordable kits in markham/toronto area that would help ALOT !

depends on which kit you want and how much you\'re willing to pay.

both of these guys carry prolumen kits.

if you want phillips, wait a little as umnitza will be introducting it soon at a HOT price.

also, lockdown offers some HIDs and installs them, just use the search feature (http://torontomazda3.com/forum/search.php) and you\'ll find much more than you can handle ;)

My HIDS are being shipped. I bought the 5000K Xtec kit from www.xenonexpert.com. They are located in Quebec, but the bulbs are shipped from Cali via USPS (no fees when they cross the border). I will also have them installed at Lockdown.

Since Lockdown will soon be offering Xtec (For $399.99CDN +Taxes BTW) I will have a lifetime warrenty that is local :D.

i also bought a 5000k kit from xenonexpert, i bought the polarion (philips) kit. its been great. its a little more pricey then the others but im completely satisfied, as well the customer service is good too. it all depends on your budget. Theres lots of posts just like yours if you press the \"search\" button.

after reading a bunch of posts, i think ill wait till lockdown gets some XTEC kits since they are close and reasonably priced. Just one more question, 4100k or 5000k ? i would really like for the bulbs to be the blue-ish/purple tint. I think the 4100 is pure white and anything above 4100 will have a colour tint to it, someone correct me if im wrong

from my experience if you want blueish, check out xtec kit, if you want purpleish, check out ProLumen (a little lavender hue @ 5000K) - check out my sig for link, but the pix really don\'t do justice :(

i do not think xtec comes in 4100K, lowest i\'ve seen was 4500K but that hasn\'t been stocked by anyone in a whiiiiiiiile..
