Well are you looking into a sedan or a hatch???? that will differenciate your options

you\'ll should also figure out the things that you can\'t live without (auto, A/C, 17\" rims :D ). that will help you narrow down your options. I bet that if you enumerate all the possible combinations of Mz3\'s that price at around $25k then you will have 10-15 variants. Mazda.ca is a great place to start as it will allow you to customize a car and price it out with msrp and most of the surcharges such as delivery, tax, etc..

EDIT 1: and welcome to the forum!

actually... you could possibly get one.... !!!! ... Call Jeff Holley at Avante! (laugh)

... man... I might as well leave that in my sig.... hehehehe...
Call up a few dealers tell them your options...

Call up Avante, ask for Jeff Holley.... give him your specs that you want... (laugh) If not... I\'m sure Jeff will probably reply by tomorrow on the forum to give him a call :P Hahaa

yes....Jeff will find you here. I found there are a number of dealers on this board. I\'ve dealt with Avante as well (Jeff included) and the guys there are awesome. I believe I am going in this week to pick up my baby. There are also a number of threads on the forum that will give you an idea of what people have paid and what they got so you can really do a lot of research. good luck!

When you figure out what you want try Prima in Woodbridge, they beat both Avante and Westowne and Dave Woods for price.

I gotta give a nod to Prima, they too gave me the best price.

As for ~$25K to spend, I think you can get a GS sedan with PowerPackage and SportsPackage without any problems.

Sat Apr 30.. I honestly didn\'t really know how long I was going to be waiting for so just prepared myself to wait for 4 weeks which is a typical worst-case scenario AFAIK if the vehicle is already built.

if you have $25,000 cash, dealers usually give you a break (*hence the reason they have \'cash purchase price\') ... shop around until you find the right place, and you feel the most comfortable dealing with

are u fixed on the 3 or are you looking for at other cars too?

are u male or female? (Asking ONLY cause I would give different suggestions as the two genders have different typical perferences).

ur looking 4 a sedan right?

(laugh) How does Gender take into effect on preferences??? I\'m curious (not offended).... but quite curious what that stereotype may be???? :P

well if it was a girl, i\'d suggest they look at an aeiro. Many of my female friends adore the car. My friend has one: (talking about the hatch)
AWD (155hp, but lots of power lost through tranny and drivetrain, keep in mind its auto too).
6speaker + subwoofer (under drive seat) + cd player
digit dash (similar to S2000)
auto
ABS
15 inch alloy wheels
Power everything (no moon roof)
the factory body kit
a/c
front disc brakes, rear drums
total: 18,000 On the road. since he said \'25000\', i\'d suggest the aeiro.

But I can\'t really see a guy owning one, its too \'cute\' for my liking.

I have to agree with Fucman here, there are \'chick\' cars and there are \'guy\' cars.... as stated b4, \'chick\' cars are cute and all the BS girls say when they see them (ie: \"My car looks pretty\", \"Do you like my cute crystal hanging from the rear view\")

Cars that fall into the \'chick\' car category: Aerio, Precidia, anything KIA, the smart car, and a few others that I can\'t think of right now..

Saphress

(laugh) Precidia... yeah ok... as for a Kia I would never touch.... hehehe...

my boyfriend has told me this was such a \"chickie\" car...

Frankly I like my car.... That\'s all I know... :P

ill try to call Avante when im in Ontario in a few weeks..im currently visiting my parents here in the middle east...i hate how north america\'s car pricing is so high!...here, a full option mazda 3 (sedan, they dont have hb here) is approx. a lil less then $20000 canadian!..but then again, they dont have tax here..but its still cheaper, even if they did!

too bad u cant export cars to canada unless they\'re from the country of origin!

so buy it there and drive it back. sure it may get a little wet but by the time you reach home the break-in period will be over.

Golf Cabrio is another.. Saturns seem to attract a lot of females too..

What do you think of the mx-5 (Miata). It\'s like the car has an identity crisis. I hear a lot of people say it\'s a chick car. But the car is a pure sports car!! :D rear-drive, 2 seater, drop top, 6spd, lsd...WHAAAAT!!!

miata is a tricky one. I was gonna say chick car, but it packs a lot of punch ...

How would you guys classify a Cavalier? IMHO these \"cars\" are the biggest piles of crap on the road. Ancient engineering, unsafe, cramped, unreliable and no styling. Although supposedly in the same class as the M3\'s, they are a world apart.

cavs? I dislike them, fugly...
as fugly as the current civic sedan/EL

the miatia, if stock itz kinda of girly. A simple body kit and it all changes.

In defense of the cavalier, not that I would go back to it now, but I can say the one I had and traded in for the Mz3 was 10yrs old, never any complaints, 1 warranty repair, other than that was just routine maintenance and still was running well at the time I let her go.....just was time for a change.

Perhaps I was just lucky.

o I meant the new ones and the one with the round butt.
Maybe its just the amount of riced up cavs I see up here in richmond hill.

On many occasions I\'ve seen cavs with dual fart can exhaust (comes with dual exhaust stock I think).

cavs DO NOT come with dual exhaust stock ... my previous car was a Z24, auto, and that shiet could haul-ass .. sorry to say, but unfortunately I didn\'t get into modding it, since I was still in college and just didn\'t have the funds to rice it up.

again, my z24, I had for 4 years and never had any problems with it.. at all ...

I think you have to have owned a cav to really know them! I live on the Hill too and I think it is laughable to see all the riced up cavs driven by their \"oh so cool\" owners. If you have to own a cav - and I did once - then OK, everyone needs a ride with 4 wheels. But to pretend they are \"serious\" cars and then rice them up, well, I just find that pretty funny.

i just loved the j-body on those bad boys ... other than that all the interior was crap ... even the handles to lean the seat back broke off, at one point... but I mean under the hood, never had any issues ... winter/summer .... as far as taking them seriously... the Z42 cavalier (98) was 2.4L and it could haul-ass.. so it was a fun car to drive and smash people off the line ... BUT... im happiers with my Protege, as these cars are untouchable when it comes to handling, just a little concerned about the stock power (sooo bad)

true true - the body package on the GT sure does add a more manly look ;)

the new Miata is coming out this summer - I\'m excited to see how it looks on the road! Looks pretty good in pictures IMHO. :D but enough about the miata...this is the Mz3 forum!

I don\'t mind the Miata and I have driven them a couple of times. But I don\'t think it is a serious sports car. It tries to be all things to all people. Now, the RX-7 - of which I am very familiar with - now THERE\'s a serious sports car. But by the third gen, it was way overpriced and eventually Mazda discontinued it. The RX-8 is OK - at least it brings back the rotary - but it is not a 7.
