Well I am sitting at work at 8:00 am, after 3 hours of sleep writing this post. I am not a big Star Wars fan, but some friends wanted to catch the midnight show of Revenge of the Sith and of course I couldn\'t say no. :zzz Of the 3 prequels, I think this is the best one, it felt like George Lucas rushed the end of the movie to tie things together but I really liked this one.
Without giving anything away (Like you don\'t already know) I was able to stay awake the whole movie :p :D So it means that it was pretty interesting. They have to change Plan 66, to Plan M3!!!

Cool. Was it packed at the theatres (if so, were there a bunch of nerds dressed up in Star Wars outfits:sarc )?

Teambedlem and RJ3, which theatre did you guys go to watch the movie?
PSIVIC, my friends thought there would be a huge line-up and Yorkdale, so they got there at 5:00pm. They called and some idiot said that there were 60 people in line. When my friends got there, no one was in line. They had 3 theatres showing the movie. :D I arrived around 10:00pm and there weren\'t many people there, but about an hour before the movie, the theatre was filling up and by the time the movie started it was 90% full.
Of course you see your some hard-core Star Wars fans, but the most I saw was people with light sabres and one person had a Darth Vader mask. I think his MOM was outside to pick him up after!!:sarc :D

Mazdatree, I remember those shows, the Dog would just rip these people to shreads, and they wouldn\'t have any comebacks at all because they would be dumb founded.!!:D :p
I thought Jimmy Kimmel also did something like that?

Hey you were in the same theatre as me. Yorkdale theatre 10. I got there around 10:30. Darth Vader mask guy went on stage and killed his buddy with the force. The random light saber battles were cool. I was actually shocked to see so many hottie women there. I wish i could have met some of them. :)
The movie rocked. Natalie Portman didn\'t look nearly as good in this one as the previous ones. That could be due to her getting older :)
I had to have a few extra coffees at w9ork today :)

Geologic, I heard some of those people you are referring to and I find it really funny, they are analyzing the whole movie. :sarc Some people take it too seriously!!!! :D :p

I\'m wanna go this week-end, but I think I have to wait until all the die-hard SW fans (read geeks) have seen it at least once.

Those people aren\'t just in North America, come crazed fans in the Philippines also dressed up for the premiere. I ended up going to see the movie on its second day but the theaters there were selling advanced tickets for the first day and ads and posters hyping the movie were everywhere. You could even download various Star Wars themed wallpapers, icons and ringtones for your cellphone, the same marketing machine has also started for the Batman Begins.
The Friday evening showing that I went to barely filled the balcony section of the theater, the lower portion was completely empty. I will have to see the digital projection version of film here since none was available there and supposedly that verion has some extra footage not included in the regular film version (I don\'t know if that is just a rumour or what). Also, the version I saw was quite dark and very distracting.

The wife and I just got back from seeing a 10 o\'clock show, the place was absolutely rammed. I liked the movie, some nice fight scenes, and everything gets tied together well enough.

I just went to see the movie with my little brother yesterday b/c no one would take him. I\'m not a big star wars fan (never seen one as of yesterday) but I liked the movie. Some people say it was the best one so I probably won\'t go see another one, but this one was good. I liked the story line and the end but apparently everyone (but me.. :) ) knew what was going to happen. :D
Oh and yeah - it was packed. We went to silvercity (RH) for the 7pm show but had to come back for the 9pm show - an we still had to arrive an hour early! :sarc
