HID comparison

I\'m planning to get a set of HIDs and I\'m new to it. I see many ppl recommending many different brands...and its causing some confusion :(

I\'ve got a few questions I would like to know:

- What are the common brands out there? Which is \"best\"?
- How long does the bulb last?
- Warranty?
- Which ones are the \"bang on the bucks\"?
- Is it better to get it shipped elsewhere & have a shop to install?
- Would it voids Mazda\'s warranty?
- Which shop does the best job?

If any Experts out there can shed some light, that\'ll be awesome!!

- How long does the bulb last? IIRC 7 years under normal conditions - i can\'t find the link, i think Ex-rolla asked jim from xtecusa that question
- Warranty? 1yr to lifetime - depends on product
- Which ones are the \"bang on the bucks\"? really depends on your criteria but prolumen/xtec/hids4u probably fall in the category - you get what you pay for (usually)
- Is it better to get it shipped elsewhere & have a shop to install? get them shipped home and bring them to the shop to install
- Would it voids Mazda\'s warranty? if they can prove it caused problems with the elsctrical system then yes, but they can\'t deny your exhaust work b/c you install HIDs
- Which shop does the best job? Lockdown has been praised by many

If any Experts out there can shed some light, that\'ll be awesome!!
