Average commute to work for me:
km = 20 each way
time = 25-35 minutes
I go against traffic so it\'s quite reasonable (North York to Richmond Hill)

time = 1h00 - 1h10 (depending whether i take the \'milk run\' or the express GO train)

now it is about 18km one way against traffic (Richmond Hill to Aurora). In September it will be a little shorter, probably about 15km, along back-roads. About 15-20mins.

I have to drive all of 7.76km each way... according to mapquest. :D
takes me about 20 minutes in the morning, give or take a few minutes.
25km one way North York to Downtown. Usually takes less than 30mins, as I drive off-hours. Takes up to an hour in rush hour.

17Km\'s in 20min approx. I\'ve been lucky and my industry surround me in the Brampton/Mississauga area.
I vowed never to work more than 35-40min from my residence unless the salary was so, so, so enticing to make me do it. Friggin, commuting, wear and tear on ones nerves, vehicle mileage, gas and time spent commuting does not make good quality of life.
I hear all these young cats talking of cheap homes in whereverville and they commute 1hr30-2hrs enduring traffic and it doesn\'t pay off; unless you have a compressed work week or car pool.

I use to take Mount. Pleasant (or Bayview) to Eglington, across to Leslie. Leslie is pretty fast, not too many intersections.
Now I live in Scarborough & drive to Markham. 25 mins there, 45 mins back. 401/DVP junction has crazy jams in the afternoon

17km approx. = 20 min. in good traffic in the morning - 45min. -1 hour drive home every night
(Oshawa to Pickering)
Soon to be Oshawa to Ajax, but it won\'t shave off more than 5-7min.

About 35k, and with traffic its about 30mins.
And going home takes 45min with traffic....

7 mins walk from my house. :D
Sometimes I take the car to shave 45 sec. off. Parking is murderous though, the parking enforcement is nothing short of harrassment.

Not sure of the kilometers, but about 15-20 minutes, barely enough to really enjoy it.

70km each way (Hamilton to Mississauga (401/Dixie)) Traffic is a disaster. Usually it takes me about an hour or so with traffic. No traffic = 30 mins
on average 45mins. I take the Go to Union and walk about 12 blocks.

Around 70 or so KM from Scarborough to Brampton. I usually take the 407 to save time and my nerves because the 401 is a parking lot in the morning and evening. High $$$ but the savings in time is well worth it...
52 km one way (give or take)...Oakville to Vaughan
if im on the highway at 6:55 i can make it in 45 min to and hour
if im on the highway at 7:05 it can take from anywhere between and hour to 2 hours.
its amazing how much of a difference 10 mins can make!

Damn! Some of those long commute times add up by the end of the week and you could have got a second P/T Job. I think we should go to a compressed work week. At least by shaving a day off we would benefit in transportation costs.

Mine is 17km as well for the most direct route, Mississauga to Oakville. Usually 20min if traffic is good. Usually check the MTO cameras before I leave home if I work in the afternoon, since it would take at least 30min for me to use alternate route. Traffic can be so bad on the westbound QEW at Ford Plant. We call that \"Welcome to Oakville\" traffic jam...
Say early in the morning without traffic, I can make it to work in 12min (given that I woke up 20min before report time :zzz )
