Has anyone tried this size?

Tomorrow I\'m putting 225 45 17 on my car and I was wondering if they will be okay. I checked with different tire size calculators and they seem to be the best fit. The rims that I have are ASA JS5 17\" with 48mm offset, I had had them on my 2002 Protege 5 but the tires are too small for my GT Sport.

they recommend (http://store.miataparts.org/asajs5chrome.html) 205 as the width..

but it looks like 17s are 7.5\" wide (although there is a 17x7 model) so a 225 should be ok (on a 7.5\" wide rim) what tire are you using? what\'s the measuring width spec for that tire? if it\'s the same as the weel width then you\'re OK.

it\'ll fit.. those tires require rims measuring 7.0 - 8.5 inches so you\'re good to go.
