Radio lighting not on

Happened today went to turn on my car... Steering wheel controls are lit, HVAC is lit up, gauges are lit up... the whole radio is NOT lit up. Played around with the headlight settings.. nothing would turn it on. When i had it on day light mode the LCD and the strip was lit up. Turn back on and it would not do anything. I thought it was a fuse but I turned the car off and then on and it worked again.

Anyone else with this problem besides me and Luke?

YES... I thought i was going crazy... happened while i was at the gas station about a month back. After i filled up, I started the car, proceeded to leave the gas station, then realized that the interior seemd darker... I was switching my light on/off like a madman to get the interior lights to turn on. I eventually shut the car off, then turned it back on. Problem solved.

Hasn\'t happened since.. (these little gremlins are beginning to worry me)

Correct, and kept straying off topic; never found a solution. It has not happen on my second 3.

wow... you\'re right, kept going off topic :) . I take it you never found a solution to the problem. I just hope it doesn\'t happen again.

hewy MK..i had the same problem...stopped turned the car off and on and it fixed itself...maybe its some sort of short..i dont know..but i would definately like to find out..

I happened again, but apparently it fixed itself...

It just happened again this evening... I\'ll mention it to the dealership and I\'ll see what they have to say about it. I\'ll keep you all posted

I just had my radio replaced due to the AMB - - - TSB. They replaced the radio free of charge but the new radio display is turning on and off. Its still lights up orange but no informations comes up. Its off more then it is on. So radio number 3 is on the way.

yeah I have this exact problem, if I turn off the car and turn it back on the radio lights back up... its really wierd, I hope they can fix it on my 16k checkup ~_~
