As my first post I will let you guys know that I have just purchased a brand new Mazda3
Mazda3 GT (Sedan)
M/T
GFX Package
Raised Spoiler
17\" Alloys
Arctic White
Bought it from Prima Mazda with the financing and all I payed $28,900.
Its on the train from Vancouver as we speak. It arrived from Japan this past week. Should be in my hands right before long weekend.
Once I get it, I will post the pics up. There isn\'t many white sedans out there.

$28,900??? isn\'t it a bit too pricey??? I assume u didn\'t get the leather seats, then u should be actually paying around $26,000~?

that\'s financing included...I believe the 26K mark is appropriate if you\'re paying cash

Even w/the financing charges included, that\'ll still be too much though, w/current 2.9% interest rate, all interest charges should be around $1500~1800 depend on the length.......add up to the $26,000 mark, still should not excess $28k....:(

That\'s why I asked what other options were included, cause that seems a bit high.

The interest rate is 3.9%
..and looking at the Mazda.ca Price and build..
My model with GFX is $22,540.00
Freight & PDE $1,195.00
PST $1,898.80
GST $1,661.45
***************************
TOTAL $27,295.25
Deposit $3,000.00
Financing@3.9% - $2485.00
So das gonna be around $30,000
I got a free raised spoiler with that, and winter floor mats.. and I\'m sure I can get some more shit on the pick up
So I saved at least $1,100 plus a $600.00 spoiler

Maybe we should forget about the financing charges as we all payed either cash or different percentage rates. So the real issue is the final on the road price. If you take the 3.9% rate this could be paid off faster if you want thus reducing the cost of borrowing and reducing the total cost of the car.
Paid $27,250 at Prima financed.... if paid cash would have been $27,250 - $750 = $26,500 GT,SEDAN,AUTO, GFX, so to me your price paid appears high. Should have checked here first.

well whatever, I\'m not too familiar with purchase costs. reading through other posts though it seemed that most OTR prices for something along the lines of a GT sedan/sport with 1-2 of the bigger options (a/c, auto, leather, sunroof) seems to come out somewhere in the range on 25,5 to 26,5. Then I just figured he/she must have paid about 2,0 in financing. that would bring it within 1,0K of his price. :)
obviously I didn\'t really put much thought into my post - blurb, blah...

for that price, without auto/leather
you got owned.
even with auto, your OTR price shouldn\'t be over 28K.
does ur car even have a/c, u didnt list it.
also, any extended warranty

Hi everyone, I just bought a Mazda 3 Hatch GT (pearl white) today and will be picking it up next week. My main quesiton is should I buy the extended warrenty ($1400) and the rust protection ($700)? The sales guys make it sound very important but it's really pricey. However, if it's necessary I will get it.
But what do you guys think?

If the Warranty is M.A.P. then you will be glad you bought it later.. as for the Rust Protection sounds like they are charging you too much.
On a side note, I think you replied to a thread over 2 yrs old. If you want more feed back, I would suggest you start a new thread in the right section.
