Hey guys, Are side markers available with amber lenses? I\'m thinking it would look better if the side markers matched the rear turn signals. And if so, where might I find hem?

so far i don\'t know of anyone carrying them.. some members (mazda kitten and emc i think) have smoked their sidemarkers but that\'s about it for colour.. i guess you could \'orange-smoke\' them too???

Would the Amber signals from a Tribute work?

one guy on mazda3forums has it done, I really like how they looked and asked about them. He used an amber transparent tint and just did a coat or 2 with 3 of clear.

Take a look around and you can do the same.

They should plug and play.

One guy in the Mazda club in Manila painted his side makers with Tamiya model paint, they looked really good. I have a photo of them somewhere. I will post it when I get home tonight.

Hey Thanks guys,

Are the Tribute markers identical to the 3\'s, I wonder if anyone that might have them already, would be nice enough to post a pic.

Thanks,

I don\'t have a tribute but a quick search on google shows the following:

side marker (http://www.underweb.com/greg/cars/mazda/IMG_0509.JPG)

it\'s a 1600x1200 size image so it\'s a nice look at them. You\'d probably have to see the inside though to see how it clips on. don\'t know though, not too sure if there\'s any standards for side-markers..

Hey thanks guys for the pics, the Tribute markers look like they might be a shoe in for the 3, but if all it takes is some paint, I\'ll save my money. Bluntman that pic is of a painted marker?
And where would I pick-up this Tamiya paint?

Thanks again,

Wow, I might have actually posted something usefull for once :D My GF has a \'05 Tribute. Unless I actually do some dismantling, I can\'t tell if they are an exact fit. They look the same.
I actually asked my GF on the weekend if she wanted clear signals like my 3....

Hey Sabio, if she says yes and \'you\' don\'t want to switch, I\'d be quite happy to do the swith-a-roo as long as they are the same.

thanks

hmmm, sounds like a plan in the making... give me a few days. I am working when she is home and when I am home she is working...

Well.. got home tonite and took a look at the lights.. They are about an inch longer on the Tribute. I guess it won\'t work... looks like you will have to paint them :)

Look for Tamiya clear acrylic paint. It comes in various colors.
