The srpings have been on their website for a while. The only reason I would stay away is the drop. I think that is a bit much for my tastes... looks great, but drivablity is my concern.

Also, after doing a search a while ago on toprotege, concensus seems to be that most people like them and are happy with em ;)

I\'ve only heard bad things about their springs. If you\'re only looking for looks, then go ahead but if you\'re looking for \"performance\" these springs suck compared to Teins, Eibach etc. A few weeks ago, a bunch of friends and I did some really aggressive driving on some really twisty roads (before people start talking about illegal driving, it was on a closed course) and the only suspension set-ups that got complaints were the canuck motorsports ones.

I browsed the website and links. What is the drop FR & RR? 1.75\" allround?
That is friggin low in general! Any camber kit bolts by this company?
I haven\'t heard of enough people with them to get a concise report.

Toprotege has the H&R, Teins, Eibach crowd as the majority set-up on OEM struts.

I would like to hear anyone who has actually these springs installed complain about them!!
I have \'em, and I love \'em. Not just for looks, but for performance as well.

How could they perform poorly? They are springs that are lower and 15% firmer than stock, so the effects are obvious, slightly more firm, and the lower center of gravity!!

Another thing, The factory front struts have a huge 3.5\" bump stop at the upper strut mount, if you install these spring (or any springs) with a ~ 1.75\" drop, you will absolutely need to trim this bump stop to about half of it\'s original length in order to retain a reasonable amount of suspension travel without hitting the soft limit.

Here are some pics of the bump stop I\'m referring to both before and after!!

I also trimmed the rear bump stops if you are wondering (see last pic)!!!

Trimming the Stops on the shocks/struts is outlined in the instructions for Tein Brand Springs as well as the proper location to trim them. You just can\'t hack them off.

Trimming the Bump stops on the rear control arms dosen\'t sound like a good idea to me. They are there for a reason. If they needed to be shortened, I assume details would have been included with the installation instructions.

I wasn\'t comparing the Canuck springs to the stock ones, obviously they\'re better then stock, I was comparing them to all the other aftermarket springs available, and that\'s where they fall short. I don\'t have them installed on my car, but my friends do, so I drove two Mazda 3\'s and two Protege\'s with them installed. I drove set-up\'s with both stock struts and aftermarket.

Seems like a pretty reputable company that educates the Canadian buyer. I like how their website offers one to inquire and re-affirm their purchase and what else will needs to be involved in the installation.

However the entire suspension tuning game is referred to as a \'Black Art\'. From our tire size, rim size, dampers/shocks, springs (linear/progressive rates) all affect the ride compared to OEM; hence the term \'dialing it in\'. For the occasional car enthusiast like myself with limited hi-tech tools, income my goal may take a year to 3yrs to achieve the look and the handling.

I would definitely look into this company on my next vehicle although I lean more towards the German engineering companies that pioneered the drop spring industry. I\'m gonna add this company and specs to the Drop Spring list.

Sure you can... If YOU are tuning YOUR suspension, you can cut them wherever you see fit.

If you can\'t tune your own, then you are welcome to follow someone else’s suggestions (Tien installation instructions).

Trimming the rear bump stops is not REQUIRED, however, it is what I desired, to gain additional controlled suspension travel in the rear without sacrificing ride quality or handling (hitting the bump stops).
