110km/hr Hwy #410 Southbound 10:09pm past Williams Pkwy and North of Queen St. I\'m in the middle lane.
7th Gen. Honda Accord going 120km/hr passes me and goes in extreme left lane.
Road Maintenance crew truck with neon lights to be seen for 3km+ away is in the left shoulder.
Traffic is building from merging truck coming from Bovaird and Williams so I pull to extreme left to avoid other vehicular traffic getting impatient from being behind the slowly merging trucks.
It appears to me that a Maintenance truck is in the extreme left lane as the night lighting and distance creates an illusion.
I reduce speed to 80Km/hr by easing off gas and take the car out of gear to cruise and slap on my hazards to warn traffic behind me to not get on my ProFocus 5 bumper.
The silver Accord in front of me seemingly is going quite brisk and upon approaching the Maintenance truck parallel, it swerves violently right to the middle lane and then back to the extreme left as if to avoid something.
The silver Accord pitches, rolls and nose dives through this zig-zag manouver and drives into the middle ditch takes a 360 flip and lands on its wheels facing Northbound.
I was at least 3 Mississippi\'s away in my counting method as I was watching my speed going down the 410 due to cop radar hideaways that I don\'t need. With all this happening in front of me I have been thresh hold braking to get people off my ass and to alert them of my intended emergency braking so they don\'t cream my ass.
I pullover to the left shoulder and call 911 on my cellphone as I approach the victims. A mother and her 3 children make it out with no apparent broken bones, no bleeding as I could see but they look like scared iraqi prisoners and they are sobbing.
The Maintenance crew guy who was in his truck looks like he just saw a ghost; he helps them and I instruct the parties to shut off the car\'s engine.
I was very distraught that no debris hit my car forcing me to get a professional paintjob to cure the bumper nicks, stone chips and shaolin dart.
Moral of the story:
Be very vigilant when you drive
I think a good set of after market springs/dampers would have helped control the sudden manouver.
