Is the battery accessible for replacement ? I noticed that the range of my flipkey has dropped significantly.
Thanks.

You have the OEM remote starter. Do you have your original 3 button remote? They're suppose to keep them in your glovebox or give them to you. A flip-key won't solve your problem since the mazda remote starter has an extra panic feature.
The alarm will still go off. So you would need to get a replacement remote starter transmitter.
i have an 09 mazda 3 GS sedan and my key fob has the trunk release button that works, so if i get the flip key, will that trunk button still work?
Swing by the dealership with both remotes and we'll try it no charge to see if it works.:)[/QUOTE]
what dealership are you affliliated with, im from midland/orillia/barrie area so id need to make a trip to see ya
ok thanks, ill message flip when i can make it in and we can see if we can get the trunk popper to work aswell
If it was working on the one you got, I don't see why not... just have to be programmed the same way. Although, I could see it being a problem since the transmitter isn't from the Mazda 3...
Hello from New Zealand!
I have a JDM SP23 Axela, which comes factory with the flip key. However i lost it a few weeks back whilst hooning on my motorbike. What are the chances the the US spec RX8, Mz6, Miata remote, would work with my Japanese mazda.
I think Audi have different remote frequencies depending on their country of origin.
Your thoughts please callers.
Kind regards, Simon
I have an '06 Mazda3 and I've been trying to figure out how what flipkey's will work with my car. I called my dealership just to find out how much it would be just to get a flip key cut and was told I couldn't get one for my car.
Is this because the newer flip keys won't work in a '06?
Does it matter what year the flip key's are from? of course I'd like to get the latest one if possible
you can't just call any dealer up and ask them for one blindly... almost all of them don't know you can parts bin one off another car to make it work!
READ this thread, it'll answer all of your questions
I was looking to find out if anything came from this?
FlipDady posted pics of the '10 Mazda3 Key but not the Flip Key here.... No one confirmed if the '10 Flip would work with any 04-09 model (unless I missed it somewhere, which is quite possible).
And here, in the very first post it lists that the transmitter for the Mazda 5 works but I thought read it somewhere in here (can't find it right now) that a Mazda5 Key/Transmitter wouldn't work.
From what I gather from here, please correct me if I'm wrong, the transmitters from Mazda6 sedan, RX-8, Miata or Mazda5 will work and since all the flip keys are the same any uncut for these will work, is that right?
Could anyone with a 06 Mazda please confirm if the FCC ID SKE125-01 will work?
I found this on ebay.
Hi there,
I have very similar questions to many members here...
I am currently looking for a spare set of flipkey + remote for my 2009 Mazda 6 (Canada). I've tried a couple of ebay sellers without any luck because we are in Canada. Here is what I've found out from the local Mazda dealership:
KEY G2YA-76-2GXB $68.36
REMOTE GS4B-67-5RYA $154.58 (dealer claimed this is different from 2008)
Of course, I am not going to buy them at that price from the dealership. But I could not find a reliable source/shop to get the remote part of the set. The remote part # is different from "GP9C675RYB" and I am wondering if it's a different remote for sure for the 2009 Mazda 6 (Canada)?
Further more, when I opened the key, I've found the following:

HP315MHZ
032908
No FCC# or ID#.....
Any suggestion or advice?
Regards,
Andy
