Can\'t believe I noticed this thread today. :sarc
Damn it. Hope there\'s one more left for me.
Hey Pearl, I am having same problem as you did on my 05. The remote was programmed without any problem, but I can\'t seem to program the key. Do you know what did Joe do to fix your problem? I asked one of the sevice advisors he said I can\'t program the key myself and will need the dealer to program it. He gave me a quote of $90 for programming.Quote:

Thanks.
Just an update to anyone who\'s interested....
Pearl_Hatch found out his key was defective, which is why it didn\'t want to program to the car. Ido believe Joe replaced the key, and now it works fine.
Thanks Lawrence! For clearing it up for me. I didn\'t know someone asked me. My bad!Quote:

Is this available for MZ3\'s in the US?
Yes, just ask for the Mazda6 flip key.
How would I go about getting the Key cut? Would I just buy everything here and program once I got it?
The dealership would cut it for you. The programming instructions are in this thread.
Just picked up mine (thanks Joe!!). I was just looking at it and wondering how you get to the battery to change it??
One more question...
I was unable to get all 3 remotes programmed at the same time. Every time I programmed the third remote, it would deactivate one of the other two already programmed remotes. Is there a limit of 2 remotes that you can program?
Some people were able to activate all 3 remotes...only 2 for me. No big deal though.
i thought it was a big deal since you need 2 remotes to program the 3rd one no? or am i getting my signals crossed? and if you lose one of the programmed ones you\'re .. umm.. how do i put it nicely ;)Quote:

EDIT: neverming.. 1 remote is ok.. what is said is just for the key..
Mine worked fine. I did all 3 in sequence and there was no problems.
Sorry guys, I have to ask again... Anyone have a clue how to change the battery? I know I will have to do it some day. I don\'t want to break the thing trying to change it.
EDIT: I just found what I was looking for in this thread:

anyone using the trunk release button yet? I\'d like to see someone with that mod done.
Honestly, I don\'t see how that can be done. The receiver does not detect the trunk release signal.Quote:

You would also have to get a new trunk lock with an actuator to detect the signal and work with the factory keyless entry module.
