What do you think about your mazda 3?

No not high. If I were to compare new car to new car then yes for the price i'd go for a Maz, but if I were to get a used car. I would probably get a civic or a EK6 put a B16 engine in there, which will kick out approx 160hp or more ? Yes it is only a 2L but a 0.3L difference on a lighter car (being the civic) it will just be quicker. Overall it may cost a bit more then a used maz or maybe less depending on labour. I love my car it takes great cornering/turns but I just wish it was rev happy like the OLD hondas.

The stock Civic DX/LX/EX is a 1.8, the Mazda3 GT has a 2.3 w/ 160hp.

The SI is quicker, but it competes with the Mazdaspeed3, not the 3GT.

1. Still love it after 5 years.
2. Minor mechanical issues
3. Rust on rear wheel wells, pillars.
4. As long as its not done at the dealer its not too bad. Mazda parts are slightly on the expensive side compared to other brands but not too high.

I do.. for the most part! Good car, great on gas and top looks for it's class IMO.

2. have you had a lot of problems with it?
Paint and clearcoat problems... minor rust but more forming.

3. What are the things to look out for?
RUST! It's been stated a thousand times but it's true.
Also I have to say that I HATE (this is an understatement) Mazda's paint!! Cheap, wrecks easily. I had less stone chips and paint flakes on my 1997 Chevy Lumina AND 2002 Buick Century and I drove it more than my Mazda.

4. I hear repairs are much more expensive then other cars, Any storys?
I wouldn't say they are... depends what cars you're coming them to.
