why do you want to remove the resonators?
to gain some sound out of it, but too cheap to buy an exhaust system or an intake
my advice to you is to keep it stock. Just because...lol
Hey. What some people do is buy a MS3 exhaust and then do a res delete. Planning to diy or get a shop to do it?
I did the delete on my exhaust. A little rice-y, but I like
Why not just replace the muffler and keep the resonator? Probably get a nicer tone out of that. I mean if you're going to do work...

Wow, res delete does not sound very good.. I didn't expect it to be such a high tone.
+1 to Aitch's suggestion if all you want is sound.
Racing beat exhaust is axel-back. Go with that maybe? It's gonna cost you but I think you'll be happier with the result.
i was gonna do a muffler delete. doesnt sound too bad and its cheap. then i got a MS3 exhaust with magnaflow resonator and muffler and i like it. drones just a tiny bit. but at highway speeds, the mazda 3 (first gen) is noisy. this was the video that made me wanna do the muffler delete:
50 shades of silver
how did u do it? can any one at home do it?
oh and another thing, being new i have no idea how to change my profile pic, if someone could help me out and NOT be a dick about it that would be much appreciated
^ you mean the muffler delete? yea, its possible to do it at home if you get a welder and pipe cutter. all you gotta do is cut the muffler out, and weld a pipe in place. you can always do it the getto way and just use hose clamps or couplers that can stand heat.
also: ill pm you how to change ur profile pic
Here's a (temporary) muffler delete on a 2.0L for the 2010, during the middle of an install to see what it sounded like.
