Question vinyl wrapping - technical / care questions

I couldn't help but notice how JR AutoConcepts is offering vinyl wrapping for various parts of the car.

    With all aesthetic points aside...
    1. What benefits does the vinyl wrapping give?
    2. How long does it last?
    3. Can it be removed? easy/difficult?
    4. Can it be wrapped over metal and/or polymer/plastic parts just the same?
    5. Any other commentary about it?

Its generally rated for 3 years. Most di-noc anyway. Say you bought a brand new car and wrapped it. You could remove it 3-4 years later to sell with the same quality paint it rolled out of the factory with

    To answer your questions
1.benefits would be protects surface that has been wrapped
    Can be removed fairly easily.
If your car is on lease and you plan on returning you car you can have a temporary "custom" look that will not damage your vehicle.
    2. It last 3-5 year and even longer depending on how well you take care if it.
    3. Yes it can be removed fairly easily
    4. 3m vehicle wrap can be applied to almost any smooth surface, such as vehicles body(bumpers, hood, doors, fenders) headlights, tail lights, windows, rims, etc

I hope that answers the questions you asked.

If I get my roof wrapped and remove it later, would there be a significant difference between the paint colour of the roof and the rest of the body (was not wrapped) due to fading?
    Curious to know.

Not trying to jack the thread, but...

I recently repaired a paint chip, had a clear coat on it already, would putting a wrap on it compromise the coat when the wrapping is removed... say 4 years down the road?
Is the cf type of wrapping considered "tougher and thicker" and easier to maintain against chemicals+debris (bird droppings + rock chips) as opposed to the "glossy vinyl" type?
