Identify Mazda3 as Sport GS or GT

Hi,

I bought a 2007 Mazda3 (hatchback) which was advertised as Sport GS. It drove fine, so I paid for it, but when I went to get it Registered, the clerk said that in the system it was coming up as a Sport GT.

It doesn't say anywhere on the car if it is Sport GS or Sport GT. It only says Mazda3 at the back.

How can I tell if my car is a Sport GS or a Sport GT?

It has auto wipers, AC, controls on steering wheel, and spoiler on the rear (trunk) door.

Also, I don't know what size of the engine is. Is the engine cover locked? How do I remove it?

If it has heated seats it is more than likely to be a GT

Pics would help, as we would probably be able to tell you from that. But otherwise from your description, it seems as though it's a GT.

In regards to the engine size, it's 2.3L.

I think that the hatch only came in Sport trim (with a 2.3 engine) which is the equivalent to a GT until at least the 2007 model year. If it's a 2.3L engine then it's not a GS. GS models have a 2.0 L

No spoiler, no sunroof, no automatic mirrors = gs. I have a gs.
