Default Lowering springs? Would tien lowering springs that fit "gen 2" Mazda 3 fit a 2006?

I have a chance to buy some tien lowering springs for about 150. But they're for the gen 2 Mazda 3 I believe. Is there any chance those would fit my 2006?

Or does anybody know where I can find a good set of used lowering springs for a decent price?

Some people on here use gen 1 prokits on gen 2 so I assume it will work the other way as well.

Just keep an eye on the classifieds. Springs come up all the time.

Suspension components are the same for both generations. I've used 04-09 prokits and 04-09 coils in my 2010 and didn't have any problems.

And yes, it would work the other way.

    To ask another question.

Eibach has 1 kit listed for the 2010, and one kit listed for the 2008. So Gen1 and Gen2.

    I have a 2011, and the springs are from a Gen1.
Will these springs drop LOWER then the ones meant for a Gen2? Im going to be riding on stock struts until i can find the Bilstein numbers, and order them online. Tops i want to go is 1" in the front, and 1.5 in the rear. Thats at very most.....

yeah even on first gen prokits you'll be looking at around 1.8" all around. That was my experience at least

How about going backwards. Going with Gen2 sportlines on a Gen1 hatch? For a not as agressive drop.

From my understanding when I got my gen1's installed onto my Gen 2 was that the front drop on the Gen2 (Prokits) wasnt much if at all noticble and left a large gap.

Didnt try gen2 springs on a gen1 , but gen1 springs on gen2 lowered my car about 1 finger width on stock 16 alloys
