I did the pillars on both sides of my windshield black and it blends in with my black interior very well (don't have any pics to post ATM, sorry).

If you do decide to do any interior. Best to remove the pieces from the car completely and spray on a clean workbench or something. Getting any of this stuff on your carpet/fabric could be a huge PITA to clean up.

I plasti dipped a few parts of my interior, it looks fantastic and doesnt get scuffed up easily!

be careful though, do it thin coats, more thin coats rather then fewer heavy coats... that way it will come out nice and smooth rather then lumpy!

I've been thinking of doing everything that isn't black in plastidip. Does it match well with the regular paint?

That's up to you, I personally think it does blend very nicely, I have my things dipped white, and I think it looks great!

Did you mean the pillars with the airbags behind them? I was told never to fidget with those when I was installing footwell lighting. How did you manage to get them off without consequence?

Is he not just referring to the A pillars? I'd like to see pics when you get a chance. If you are in auto you NEED to dip the shift surround. When I'm taking my car back to stock to sell it, that is the one piece I will refuse to take off.

I have dipped parts of the interior in my truck 2 years ago and still going strong. I clean them with Mothers Protectant and never had an issue.

I agree, looks better and is better long term as far as wear and tear goes, plus the possibilities of patterns are endless

Theres an entire how to section on here you can search through - heres a thread with a bunch of how to manuals: http://www.torontomazda3.ca/forum/sh...or-any-DIY-ers

Google is always a safe bet too, as far as interior dismantle goes, rarely will you find a specific DIY for removing a trim piece but a lot of how to manuals touch on removing the smaller pieces in order to accomplish the bigger task (ie. a DIY manual for removing the glove box will touch on removing the dash piece). Hope this helps!
