The fact that the car was sitting there and caught fire scares me. I remember kevin told me STi oil pressure is somewhat higher than ms3 . His kick ass gauges goes up to 150psi.

ALso sti isnt direct injected, theres only an in-tank pump no? As you can see i dont know much about sti

Tbh...I *THINK* it's unlikely a fuel line but it could be, but form what you're saying, no, the STi doesn't run a high pressure fuel pump in the engine bay like we do, so one less thing to worry about, I suppose.

@MajesticBlueNTO found out more about how it went down...and piecing his info with what we know about the oil cooler, it weighs heavily as the most likely suspect.

At the end of the day...the car's gone. We'll never know for sure...but let's learn as much about it as we can so none of us suffer the same fate.

I would personally not buy a car already super modded. I think modding the car yourself allows you to understand your car better and to know if something or wrong or right. It's also fun...lol

one of the best words to go by! it's a true shame with what happened with this car going up. (i've had a simular experience) but you never really know what you buy at the end of the day!
