Borla VS HKS exhaust ? Which one is better for Mazda 3 ?

I want to get the HKS one cuz I think it sounds better and you can hear the back fire pop and everything but Borla I found to be less loud

I was comparing the 2 through youtube vids so if anyone here actually heard both in person on Mazda 3's, please let me know what you thought sounded louder/ better ???

The search function is very useful, it can help you find the desired information.

Yes, HKS does have a good sound to it, but you have to understand that what I may find better may not be what other members think sounds good.
Get whatever makes you happy. Personally I think running a straight pipe is the best.. or is it?

When I bought my Borla it was a bill or two more then HKS, I also thought it was discontinued (HKS)?
I also thought Greddy was most expensive.. then Borla.. HKS.. and so on
CS definitely best bang for your buck though (very inexpensive) Borla and Greddy known for good welds too

HKS is louder and high pitched

Borla is deeper and a lot more throaty

Maybe I'm a bit bias since I got a Borla, but I prefer it.. its all about personal preference

Took me a long time to get my exhaust, because I was picky with how it sounded and wanted to hear exhausts in person before choosing and buying one. Youtube doesn't work cus who knows what camera they recorded the video/sound with.

I was set on Borla, UNTIL I heard the Vibrant. Loud but not annoying, really nice tone. Very happy with it.

Too bad Vibrant don't make it anymore.

Ah, yea not sure about the Gen2's, but they did make the CBE for Gen1's.
