    Thumbs down Catch can issues..

Hey guys so I installed the corksport updated occ with this routing a while back and I'm still looking for answers/solutions:

And I'm still getting oil in my intake, my engine bay reeks of gas/oil and all my fmic piping is full of oil, assuming its coming from the occ tip port and not the turbo as there is a good amount in my intake when I checked.

Basically looking for a solution.. Corksport hasn't replied to any of my emails, which is really helpful, and I'm curious to know maybe instead of routing the top port into my tip I could throw a filter on the hose and vent it? Oil wouldn't come out of the filter because there wouldn't be an intake sucking the fluid through it..... Or I could just use the cork sport can and do JBRs hose route?
Really just want a solution pretty pissed off

Is your catch can full or completely empty? You sure you didn't mess up the installation somewhere?
Canada gave us rust and DRL. Thanks for nothing Canada!

Corksport came without a check valve?

We recommend ppl install it to the JBR instructions with our kits...those instructions are like updated version of the original Cobb install guide for OCC...at least last I read it.

If your current kit is FUBAR'd and you need a new and better one...hit me up.

The cork sport did not come with a check valve as they didn't think there was a need to I guess... Maybe all I need is a check valve so that when I boost the intake doesn't suck up the oil? Makes a bit more sense.. Fobio do you have any check valves/or think this could be my solution? Because the can infact does collect a lot of gunk

Are you sure its not because its your occ lines freezing? Its been pretty damn cold this winter. The area most prone to freezing will be the top hose leading into the occ and T clamp.

We don't typically stock our check valves as we typically sell them as kits. Furthermore, our check valves work with the reinforced hosing that we provide and I'm not sure about the specs of the CS hosing. Stand-alone, our check valves will be around $50 - 60 after shipping and conversion...etc...

Mine did freeze but even when everything was clean and empty the smell was still there. Everytime I started the car I could smell gas/oil.

The smell seems to be common for the Corksport occ, oil/fuel vapour through the crankcase. I guess it has to do with how its routed. I noticed it when I first installed mine, but don't as much now.

I love the smell, reminds me when I used to race karts as a kid in Brazil, just makes it seem like something is wrong but i feel better now knowing its a common thing with these occ.
