    Question Need some Lugnut help!

    Hey guys,

So I wanna go about getting red Lugs to go with the black and red (so typical) theme of my car. But I literally don't know anything about Lugs except they hold your wheels on.

Are they specific sizes needed? Alloy vs aluminum vs steel vs? Good brands? Locking vs non? Open vs closed?

Any feedback would be beautiful, to help me out and further my lacking knowledge on the topic.

    Thanks again
I never understood why people put so much money into their cars...and then I finally bought one.

12x1.5 is the size you need. Lock nuts vs normal ones is just your preference and how safe you feel in the areas you park Open vs closed, once again a preference on what you think looks better for your setup

Would like a set off eBay be safe to use? Or should probably stick to more of a brand name, for safety and durability?

I'd personally stick to somewhat brand names. However, that's not to say eBay wouldn't be the place to find them. The ones you find in stores around the GTA are often found on eBay for much cheaper, and are the exact same product/company/quality/etc.

Any reliable stores to get them from? Or things to check when ordering off eBay?

Got mine from garage16 and they has a fair amount of selection. I suggest a double check against your wheel as the one recommended was too large for the bolt pattern I had to mount on (worked fine if I could use the other pattern)

Tires were being mounted so couldn't check myself and had to wait till Monday to exchange. They were good about allowing me to exchange as well which was appreciated.

You'll also have to look at the wheel you are using. Does it require tuner size or regular size? The nuts are usually sized to use either 21mm or 19mm.

The lug wrench in your trunk is 21mm. So if needed, make sure you get an adapter so you can use your wrench with the new lug nuts.

I'd be using them for the OEM wheels. The 5 spoke kind of star style (2004 & not speed wheels). I read something about rounded and tapered lugs as well?
