Smile Code Scan request - Downtown Toronto

    Good day everyone!

Location: Sherbourne & Bloor, but don't get up, I'll come over to wherever is convenient for you.
    Request: Scan code and reset.

I am new here and joined up because my engine light came on
    I checked the fuel cap

I saw another post with the exact same symptoms:
    1. Rainy day
    2. engine, traction and AT lights came on at the same time (makes me think electrical)
    3. Traction & AT lights off after about half a minute.
    4. Engine light stays on n(Probably just needs a "reset")

So I'm guessing it's just something that got wet. Would be great if I could check the code and be safe.

    Thank you and happy holidays!
    Alex

P.S. I popped into Canadian Tire on Yonge and the cheapest scanner was $100+ :O sheesh >:/

I believe Part Source can check your code for you for free.

You should pick one up online. I got this one from Amazon.ca. Scans and turns off CELs. Also comes with a manual and list of codes.

Princess autos cheapest one is 70 on sale.... This looks good. So far so good?

OP: phone up a part source if you haven't had the code cleared yet. See if they will do it.

It's a good one. Easy to use. Used it a couple of times on the Mitsubishi and it worked great. Scan told me it had a misfire. I cleared it, changed out the plugs and no problems.
