Slave cylinder fail fail fail !!!

Hey all!
So I have a 2010 sport manual with the bigger block
I blew through a clutch over the first year,
Replaced it (at a reputable shop)
A couple years go by and the slave cylinder goes.
Now it rejected 3 doorman replacement parts , breaking the parts at the function part test...
The suggestion has been to replace or at least tear down the whole system, clutch, trans, etc, I dunno...
What are your thoughts on this?

Note: it's not a sales pressure oriented situation...
And I have time on my side and safe storage for free.
I can do some work but not really confidently
I don't have parts yet aside from release bearing , and the last slave cylinder has not yet been ruined.

What brand slave cylinder were you using as a replacement? Dorman? If so you may want to check to see if OEM has a more robust replacement.

If you go on rockauto a great example of this is the 2012 Mazdaspeed3 slave cylinder compared to the 2007 Mazdaspeed6. The MS6 has a metal piston where the MS3 has a plastic one.

when you replace the slave cylinder, you'll also want to replace the master cylinder... gunk from the master cylinder will work its way into the slave cylinder and wearing out the seal

so, when you replace one, you always want to replace both... never be cheap... do it right the first time, especially using the right parts (get OEM... OEM = mazda, nothing else)

Dorman is decent. I have a Dorman VVT solenoid running solid north of 400hp for a while. OEM for some things, not all.

I agree about replacing other components related to the clutch line assembly.

if I wanted to/forced to get aftermarket (master/slave cylinders), I'd get beck arnley or tokico only... the beck arnley could be reboxed OEM parts, and tokico is an OEM supplier to some automakers, such as nissan

So ,. .. ... I gave up, and went to a 2015 third gen Mazda3. ... Sedan... Still manual but now mated to the pedestrian 2.0 sky ... And before I fully rape off all the easy harvest from my 2010 3s 2.5 GS, I will perhaps throw a "project or parts" type of offer of sale at this, a
nd another forum.

congrats... it's a much better car than the 2nd gen, in every way.. it's the start of the most reliable mazda3s since then

the 2.0 is plenty and is great on gas, but the 2.5 still gets much better gas mileage than the 2.5 MZR it replaced... but if you want to compare power, the 2.5 is pretty quick and you do feel a bit of being pushed into the seat lol

I just blew my line to my slave cylinder Thurs (completely rusted out) I'm told only way to get parts is from dealer $$$ I read it's a good idea to do master cylinder as well. Where's a good place to find out what these parts cost? Also as a somewhat unrelated topic where can I find a manual for the car? Ya know to actually work on it. TIA.

real mechanics wouldn't buy a line from the dealer, they would get a straight pipe, bend it to shape, then flare the ends themselves... it will be the exact or similar to original part

go to a better shop, man... you're dealing with parts swapper "technicians"

if you want a shop manual, look on ebay

Someone else online mentioned it's dealer part only as well, before the mechanic did. I've seen plenty online though so I'm not entirely sure what's going on. They are local I don't have too many options and not like I could drive the car to another shop. Happened a week today, haven't heard back.
