Went for an oil change, 5w20 was put in instead of 0w20

Hi all,

Took the car in for an oil change for 2012 Mazda 3 GX non-sky.
Check the receipt the next day found out 5w20 was put in.
Should I be concerned, and would there be any immediate risk of any damage?

No ///the thicker oil is better for the winter
Besides ...as your engines adds on the miles and there is more wear in the cylinder rings
the gage increases to were a slighter thicker oil here keep compression,
Worst case the 5w is thicker and not as slippy as the 0W
What does the dealership say ... are they aware?

yeah, brought it back, got drained and filled it back with 0w

The 2010-2011 Mazda 3 GX, with exactly the same engine and transmission was rated for 5W20. That's probably why they made the mistake. Wouldn't have made a difference.
