    Default Parasitic drain-room fuse

Hey there, looked on all forums I could find, and no answers that help me. So my $600 2005 mazda 3 sedan has a few issues, but the one I can't fix is the parasitic drain. My battery is a bit weird, putting out between 35-80 amps (if I'm reading my multi meter right, on 10amp setting it says THIS MUCH-THIS MUCH). The amps drop THIS MANY down to THIS MANY when I pull my "room" fuse. I know it controls door locks with the fob, radio, dome lights, map lights, etc. My door lock actuator on drivers side doesn't work with fob so I have to insert and turn my key to lock/unlock from the outside. It also doesn't respond to lock buttons from the door. After removing the actuator and locking myself out of my car (long story) I still have a amp drop from the room fuse. Take out my radio, still have a drop, so I'm not sure where to go from there. Thanks for any help or ideas!

So my dumbass also forgot to put the amp info where the words "THIS MUCH" WAS. anyway, here's the normal amp between 60-70 amps, with a drop of 50 amps down to between 18-24 ish.

Multimeter on 10 amp setting is 0.60-0.70 ish down to 0.18

Ive had the same battery drain happening on our 2005 Mazda 3 .
Sometimes it would drain overnite and it would go days.
Always started with a boost ... in the end we changed the battery
its all fine now. We also make it a point to drive the car everyfew days
and to not leave anything on , radio, AC ... they all get turned off ...
6 month since we changed battery .. no issues

Thanks for the response, I'm not 100 confident in my battery, but canadian tire tested it after charging it and they said it still had good capacity left. Instead of taking the opportunity to sell me a new battery they didn't, so I believe them. Replacing my battery might help but I want to be sure that it won't drain again.

About 3 years. Not used often though. Was sitting for a while as the mazda is an ongoing project.

Hi, I have a 2007 Mazda 3. In my case, even though the stereo seems to be turned off, the CD charger is still active, and it continues to operate even when the car is completely turned off (in fact, I had checked a couple of weeks earlier the current that was passing through the radio fuse in the fuse box inside the car and it was 0.0, so I had ruled out that this device was the cause of the battery drain). Now I will install a stereo with a slightly more modern screen. I did not find the solution myself, I read it in another forum.
