Thanks for the reply, flip daddy - I really appreciate it. I would love to buy from you, but it's just a superficial little trinket for my girl's car, and half price is half price, even if I hate fleabay![]()

Hey guys - an update.
I have my girl's remote's info, which is:
I have a Canadian Mazda3, for which the US-spec Mazda3 flip key works. My remote info is:
FCC ID: KPU41846
IC: 4238A-41846
VISTEON: 41846
However, the info on the one from ebay is:
FCC ID: KPU41788
IC: 4238A-41525
VISTEON NO. 41524
Now, two questions:
1) The auction says it works on a Mazda6, and that's what we need. But my number's are different - Will it work?
2) How come my FCC, IC and Visteon nubmers all ahve the same "41846" in it, whereas the ebay one is all different?
Guy with a 3 on the Ottawa Mazda board bought a flipkey from eBay for $50. It seems to work just fine... I assume he is driving a Cdn vehicle.

Hey guys,
I bought my Mazda3 flip key like I mentioned, but I jsut got it and the key portion rattles around a lot, as the key blade is thinner then the insert in the remote, I think
This is what I get for ordering off fleabay, I guess
Can anyone tell me, is this normal, and I am just used to my Audi flip key? or can I order a replacement key blade from Flipdady that will not rattle?
I have posted two videos to youtube from my cell (excuse the sh*tty quality), which attempt to demonstrate the problem:
[b]1st You Tube Video
[b]2nd You Tube Video
Can anyone tell me if this is right or wrong behaviour for a Mazda flip key? If so I am really upset, this is terrible quality
Why oh why did I have to cheap out!
amorak, I have one uncut keyblade part, and two remotes that fit it well, from my attempt to create a flipkey that I posted earlier. It looks identical to the key part which works perfectly in my Mazda, but nither remote I have works for me. Don't know if it's your key part that needs replacing, or the remote part, but I'd be willing to hook you up with one or possibly both. Send me a message about it. It shouldn't be much $$, I had written these parts off as waste on an effort that unfortunately failed, or, became too cost prohibitive to continue. From what I've read, however, if you have a CA mazda, these might work fine for you.
Send me a message if you're interested!
Hey Flip,
Just recently bought an 09 Mazda 3 GT Hatchback and want to get the flip key. I just wanted some clarification, for the 2 pre-programmed transponder key, I'm assuming I can use the 2 keys that came with the car am I right? Also, after I program the new flip key, can I still us my old keys, or will they become useless? Sorry, I've gone through all the postings and I don't think I found an answer to some of my questions.
If I want the flip key, could you still help me order it?
Thanks
you can only have 2 active keys at a time. So if you program flipkey, the key the other key becomes disabled
Does the trunk release button on these Flip Keys work with the 2009 Sedan trunk popper?
Hey guys new here, I've been lurking around the forum for a while as I had a long wait for my mazda3; 2 months to be exact... Finally decided to join as there is tons of helpful info/people on here! Anyhow, I was really disappointed in the stock key that came with the 3, everytime I looked at my brother's honda key (one piece key/transmitter). After I've read this post, I definetly want to get this flip key. I'm actually planning on going to the dealer and picking one up tomorrow. Just wanted to make sure I have the right info in hand. As I understand it the only flip key that will work is the one from the mazda6?? Now is that hatch or sedan? and what years?? a part # would be great! Also if anyone has done this what is the ballpark cost, for key, cutting and programming. Any info is greatly appreciated!
Damn! I should have really read the entire thread before posting!
Has anyone successfully programmed one of these for an 09?
Flip do you still have these in stock?
It seems that this works with the 09's as well, thanks Joe!
Has anyone seen the 2010 Mazda3 key fob conbination?
Does it flip out and can we CUT and PROGRAM it for 2004-2009 Mazda3 models?
