Buying a 2006 mazda3 sport GT, extended warranty needed?

Hi, I am a first time car buyer, and new to this forum. I am going to buy a 2006 mazda3 sport GT from a Mazda dealer. The car was a leased car, has 54K km on it. It was sold in Apr. 2006, so the basic warranty is expired, but it still has about two years powertrain warranty. I am just wondering if I need to buy the extended warranty. if I do, should I buy from the dealer or some place else? Thanks in advance.
