$900 wow wth soo expensive!!!
$900 wow wth soo expensive!!!
I paid zero............no rustproofing needed.
Would the Krown drills a holes when they do a rustproofing?
Rip off!
I was offered $900 dealer rust proofing when I got my car earlier this year. I wasn't interested and they went down to $600 rather quickly.
I've been offered $300 ish for the similar life time warranty backed treatment in the past so $600 was still no go for me.
Ended up going to Krown the day I picked up my car.
2010 Mazda 3 Sport GX
Let's put it this way... when I went to buy a used 2006 Accord from a local used car dealership here in Waterloo, I was offered their rustproofing not once, not twice but three times during the few days when I was finalizing on buying the car.
Just for interest sake - We charge $649. Its up to the customer if they want it or not, it's definitely not a money maker for us. Not sure id it's a "rip off" per say because I know we certainly don't make a killing on it. As far as I can tell, it's one of the cheapest I have found in the area (some are as high as $1400 - Orangeville)
It comes with a lifetime warranty assuming you do your no charge inspections at least every 2 years. No charge for reapplication. Transferrable.
I always recommend some sort of rustproofing, whether it be ours or Krown doesn't make a difference.
For interest sake, I make $10 when I sell the rustproofing. I make $0 if it's sold by the business manager.
Hope that helps...
Mountain Mazda charged me $450 with a lifetime warranty. I go back every two years to re spray. Did I read that right, Orangeville $1400. Why does anyone even give them the time of day.
Yep... Orangeville charges 792 for rust protection and 688 for undercoating together it's $1480. They also charge $599 for etching... holy sh*t
Not to mention the huge sh*tstorm they are now in with Mazda Canada for all the false advertising and issues with the better business bureau.
I have NO idea why people buy there... just don't know better I guess.
Our lifetime warranty is also inspections every 2 years, but you can do them every year if you want.
I personally don't think rust proofing is worth it. I've seen plenty of rust-proofed cars rust and untreated ones last for ages. Any decent car should be fine for up to about 10 years without rust proofing. Just keep it washed in the winter.
Etching the windows doesn't really make any sense in a Mazda because the VIN is already etched into so many places. Well, unless you're worried about people running off with the windows themselves.
900 for rust proof is a waste of money!
$900 is a waste of money, not sure what year your Mazda is but on the 2004-2009 no matter what rust proofing you get, they will rust!
Besides most Dealers say it's lifetime but you need to go for re-inspections every 2 yrs and there is a fee you pay every time you go. So get all the details before you decide.
