Angry Mazda takes 4-8 weeks or up to 12 months to fix your rust under warranty?

I have a 07 MS3 and the spot just under the rear wiper is rusted, I took it to a Mazda dealership for a rust repair, they said the adjuster will take photos of it and send it to get approval to fix. After 3-4 weeks, no news and I called back, they said it takes 4-8 weeks to get the approval. Is a repair under warranty, why do they have to wait that long??? and the lady bluff me and said it could takes up to 12 months.

Not impress about the service from Mazda. Anyone can chime in rather it really takes that long to get a rust fix approval under warranty???? To be, this is a total BS!

That's BS. Shouldn't take that long, Mazda Canada doesn't even approve the work that needs to be done, the district manager does so the process should be fairly quick. Chances are they're on vacation lol... it is August after all....

Seriously though it took like a day to get mine approved and about 4 days max to get it fixed + paint drying time. Call them back and give them hell!!

^ LMAOOOOO thats funny (bought my car at Ontario Mazda)

    anyways
No that is way off. 4-8 weeks? Are you kidding me... I brought my car on a Friday for pictures and I knew by Wednesday (Mountain Mazda). No way it should take that long. Even the first time the rust was fixed it took less than a week as well

Just spoke to the General Manager and he followed up with me. An hr later, the service lady call me back, said it really takes 4-8 week. I replied I asked other dealership and they told me about 2 weeks only. She said that depends how many claims they send it and anyhow she get the news for me.....that the claim got authorized (Iwhy they wouldn't anyway??), and they contacted the body shop, the owner is on vacation, need to get back to me, but assume it will be AT THE END OF THE MONTH?!!! so another half month of wait?!?!!

Not only that, the said the body shop needs my car for 3-4 days and I will need to pay for a rental for $30 +tx a day if I need it, I ask for loaner, there is none offered she said.

So bascially, I need to pay maybe 120+tx for a rental if I want to get this fix....
I need my car to work everyday and I have no one that I can borrow a car from for 3-4 days. =P

Does all Mazda Dealer not offered loaner if repair is performed under warranty?
