I actually just registered to give you some advice. I just bought a 2006 sport Gt with 65800 km for $10500. The thing is mint but took me a month and a half of searching before i came across it. I personally wouldn't go older then the 06. For one thing the car got a lot safer in 06. They threw a bunch of airbags in the thing that year , the earlier models had a crappy crash test rating. For TWO, rust is obviously a concern with the crap metal on these cars so the newer the better. For Three.. 06 is the 3rd year of production and so a lot of the bugs were ironed out.
+1 well said
I personally think that going with Mazda dealer is a waste of money..forget used car dealers aswell...full of auction cars and snakes to sell them to you. Plus the Mazda 3 has been selling great for years so, there are so many deals to be had going private.
Seller must legally have a UVIP ( used vehicle package) . Buy
CERTIFIED!!... Carproof or carfax is nice but accidents are not always reported. When you find what you like... at a fair market price..TEST DRIVE ON HIGHWAY TOO!! then.. TAKE TO MECHANIC!!!...before buying. Lucky for me my brother is a mechanic. Well thats that..
Side note...kijiji and autotrader have a 2008 mazda3 sport GT with 32000 kms going for $15900. The car is great.. other then a few minor paint scrapes. I test drove it and its perfect. The person selling it needs to find a replacement before selling it so i couldn't wait it out.. but it's a deal
hope that helps
