    Default Got a new grill

So I just got an open mouth grill for my hatch
The actual grill part thats red has a few chips in it so I was think about painting it black or red.
    Any thoughts?

Ignore the fact that my car is really wet and dirty in the pictures

ya just paint it red and leave the mesh black.... unless u have other parts of the car that are the bold black on red look. Like say black rims red accent/lip etc

+1 having the frame black IMO looks a little off but i think with the frame red and mesh black the front will flow nicely

i got the open mouth on my sedan and my hole cars theme, litteraly everywhere is white or black. And i tryed the black and it was just a little off in my opinion. The black mesh and white boarder was perfect. I think it would be best.

but each to ones own right.

your car aint that dirty lol u should see mine in the winter.... white aint the best color to have

Thanks for the advice. I think im just going to paint the mesh black, seeing as that would be easier.

Looks fine the way the colours are now. Don't be generic, do something different.

Keep the frame black and the mesh red.

I put a coat of gloss block on the mesh today. Once I put a few more coats on, I'll will post some more pictures.
I'm going to stay with that for now and might change it up in the spring/summer.

    Hey! I've seen that before!

I like the look of the black with red on your car, but do as you wish, 'cause it's yours now!

    Cheers!

I dunno about you, but I would save your money. Leave the mouth black mica, and paint the grill red with the paint code I gave you. The wide mouth matches the mustache and actually looks good on the car!

    Who whudda thunk?

    Awesome!

I'd color match the frame to the car and paint the mesh gloss black. Sure it seems like the 'same old' and what everyone else does, but as my wife says "It makes it look like it has a black button nose"

I made it quick and easy by just painting the mesh black.
It came out really good considering you shouldn't be spray painting in this weather, even in a garage.
Does anyone thing that black eye lids would look good on the car?

    Looking good,

My suggestion is to paint the lower honeycomb grill and possibily the black around the foglights with the same gloss black paint you used for the grill.

I got a buddy in hamilton who could do up some black vinal to go up the center of your car. It'd look sick if you did a black strip starting at the grille going to the back.

May like it better with a red surround and a black grille... but the hatch just has too massive a grille to be open mouthed IMO.
