    Default 2007 MS3

OKAY SO THE QUESTION I NEED TO POSE TO EVERYONE IS THAT I AM BURNING OIL, ABOUT 1/2 A LITRE PER 1000KMS APPROX. I HAVE HAD IT INTO THE DEALER ON NUMEROUS OCCASSIONS([I HAVE BEEN IN ON EVERY 1000KMS FOR THEM TO CHECK) AND THEY SAY THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I JUST NEED TO LEARN TO LIVE WITH. I HAVE HAD MANY CARS AND HAVE NEVER RUN INTO THIS BEFORE AND WANT TO GET SOME FEED BACK FROM ALL OF MY FELLOW ZOOM ZOOMERS.

Try 5W40 oil if you aren't using it already.

Did you look for leaks around the oil pan and drain plug?

Losing 1/2 litre every 1000 km should be quite noticeable, either oil puddle or a bunch of blue smoke out the rear.

FYI - The "Caps lock" key is generally located on the left side of the keyboard just above the "shift" and below the "Tab" buttons.

Typical MS3 do not burn oil...if it's not leaking (sometimes, something as stupid as a reused oil drain plug washer can cause a leak), then you have some serious problems. Good luck...hope it get resolved soon.

You never actually posed any questions until now.
Yes. The drain plug washer needs to be replaced every oil change.
