    Default roof rack/hitch add ons

Hi everyone! I need a little help. I've decided to move across the country and am trying desperately to figure out how to take some of my belongings. I didn't have a roof-rack or hitch installed when I bought my 2010 Mazda3 sedan but now am thinking either or both would have been a good idea. Any thoughts on how much it would cost to install:
    - a roof-rack to add a Thule compartment? and/or
    - a hitch strong enough to tow a 5'x8' Uhaul trailer? (if possible)
    Thanks a ton!

My experience is for the 07-09 models, but I think its fairly close to the 2010.

If you're buying the roofrack, its going to cost around $500 for the podiums, fit kit, bars, locks and maybe fairings (new, thule). You could possibly rent a box (not sure how you would return it though) but a box itself is fairly expensive too. Try kijiji?

The Mazda3s can only support a class I hitch. I think it has a towing capacity of 2000lbs? (correct me if I'm wrong). From what I've read, mazda3s are not recommended for towing. With regards to the price, I believe its about $250-$300 for the hitch installed (might be more if you need electrical work done) and then the rental of your U-Haul trailer. Or install the hitch yourself for abotu $150-$200.

Thanks hgmahaha! Renting the uhaul isn't too expensive (which was quite surprising) but if I can't tow it.... Now I've got something to run with tho. Cheers
