    Default How to remove eyelids?

Hey so like the title says how do I remove eyelids from the car, they are put on with 3m double sided tape, I'm planning to change to a different style of eyelids and also tint the headlight as well.

just pull lol, its what i did, mind you mine were a bit loose. Dont pull by an end cause that would probably snap it, just pull in the middle slowly. Its the 3m tape that will be your problem getting off the lights lol. Another thread recommended Goo Off or something like that.

I heated them up before pulling mine off, made it easier and made me less nervous lol. And for the tape, as suggested, just try goo gone or actually Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remover, works pretty well for me

You took them off?! Noooooo!!! lol

Heat them up with a heat gun (be SUPER careful!) or use a hairdryer (takes longer than a heat gun, but is safer)
And use some fishing wire to kind of slice through it, and then use goo-gone to remove any left over gunk (or you can try rubbing alcohol, or even water)

Floss isnt bad either if you dont have fishing wire handy. But I would definitely heat it up a little.

As other members stated, pre-heat the adhesive first and slowly lift it off. With the upcoming warmer weather, just let your car bake in the sun and youre good I've done this for my side moldings. For the leftover adhesive, Goo-gone is amazing but you can rub it with your fingers if there's not too much
