    Smile Sprint Booster

    Hey TM3 peeps,

For those that have the Sprint Booster product installed on their 3s, where did you get yours and how much was it? I just want to get the best deal possible for it. Been calling around different places today and the prices are all over the place. Thanks!

hey man, imo, not worth the 300$ for slightly quicker response, better to get an intake or save up for exhaust, or short shifter plate.

I understand what you mean but it's the throttle lag that bugs me with these cars. I want the sensitive throttle feel that opens up fast and actually blips on command. I just can't stand the delay anymore.

I have been quoted from $320-$350 so I was just looking to find out which shop actually sells it for the lowest possible price.

get it from nextmod, should be 300-320, thats where i got the demo tested for the 2010, it had a problem with it cause it gave me a few errors, but it also worked, all i saw and noticed was a slightly better response, not enough to justify this mod imo. u could just ground the throttle body to ur battery which would do the same thing for about 20-50 buks.

I have had the sprint booster in my 2010 since may of 09 and have not had a single problem except when the guy installed it for me because he didn't believe me it would work he installed it incorrectly and while driving it popped out and I lost all throttle response. The ground mod for the TB does nothing at all. Been there done that

were there any 2010s in canada in may of 09? I was on a wait list for months in 09 for my car. nyway, the sprint booster he brought me was for the 04-09s and it worked on my car, it just put the engine check light which i didnt want. thats all. imo, sprint booster is not worth it for a mazda 3, maybe for a ms3 for a boosted application.

I bought one for the 06-09 application back then. I originally wanted the adjustable one but that was only available for the 04 and 05. Then they sent me the wrong one. When I called and complained they told me that they were not compatible with the 10s. I called joe at MoT and he confirmed they are the same gas pedals throughout all production range. So I drove to jrp and explained the situation to them and they still didn't believe me. So when he installed the booster on my car the CEL came on. Cleared it with my scanner and car was fine for about 30 mins on my way home. Then my board computer started going crazy. Upon further investigation the sprint booster was no longer plugged in :@. Plugged back in cleared angine light and everything was ok since. The boosters are worth the money. Its a much quicker pick up on my 2.5l sedan I had and what a difference on my speed but the slightest tap on the gas and I am in boost

Excuse my bringing up an old thread, and my ignorance. But would this effect gas mileage noticeably? I'm assuming because there is a quicker response and quicker response that rpms will jump up quicker?

    Thanks,

    Andrew

I used to Sell these for Lancers, and there was no noticeable difference in gas consumption reported from anyone who bought one. It`s very minimal to notice one guy said but nothing he was griping about.

Definitely felt the difference after putting it in. Although it does not give any hp increase, the car feels more responsive and you can feel the car accelerating quicker. I just picked up a used one yesterday and am loving it

It was you that beat me to it!! LOL

I don't think it should affect gas mileage if you keep the same driving style. If you get one and decide to push it every time and accelerate to the max then I can see it affecting the mileage.
The reason why I wanted one is for those moments that you would require to pass someone or accelerate when merging and need that instantaneous response. I always second guess my car in those situations because of the lag the throttle has.
