    My kit was the Viper 5101 (One-way starter only). It costed me about $400 for the kit + bypass module, and trunk popping actuator. This was a few years back now. I got it installed by Selective Sound. They did a decent job and no big issue since. I would have liked it better if they would have explained a few extra features from the kit and ask if you are interested (i.e. auto-lock doors when you start car, etc.)

    would it be possible to get proximity sensors installed with the 2ndgen stock alarm?
