Default TWM vs JBR Short Shifters for 2010 GT

Hi Guys, this may have already been covered but I haven't been able to find it via search.

I am looking into a short shift plate from either TWM or JBR, but aside from cost cannot identify any tangible differences between the two. Right now I am leaning towards the JBR shift plate/bushing/knob package for $170.

Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.

Average shift plate shortcut is $60, bushings $25, shift knob $60-$85.
    I'd say $170 isn't too bad.

Most price differences will come down to colour options, name, etc.

At the end of the day, its pretty much all the sane.

Go JBR! I just received bushings and heavy shift knob (decided not to get the SS) and it arrived fast and without hassle, thanks to Jamie marking as a gift. Jamie quickly replies to messages as well. TBH, I find TWM to be overpriced.

Regarding the knob, wow it's HEAVY! It may not be as pretty as the TWM knobs, but I didn't buy mine for looks.

NP. Jamie (JBR) provides exceptional customer service. He also marked the item as a gift and de-valued it on the customs form so my shipment came through without a hitch! It took about 5 or 6 business days to arrive. Shifter bushings are going in tomorrow.

PS: He is working on a transmission mount for the MZ3 (non-Speed) and we should see this in the coming months as well.

You should probably join the group buy hosted by MSpeed. At least you're gonna save on shipping.

I don't know if my input counts anymore but I have a twm And unless its not greased well I have no complaints, easy to install , good shifter height and smooth shifts especially when speed shifting . Can't comment on the competition bit as far as twm goes I'm impressed and recommend the shifter

Im interested to know what the difference between those, and the Mazdaspeed one is. I was shown in the Speed Flyer, for the 2.3T, and the 2.5N/A they have an OEM short shift kit available for 200$. The only thing im concerned about, this MS one looks like a bar....?
