Default 2004 Mazda 3 GX Header Issue

Okay so I recently clued into the fact that my car isn't as fuel efficient as other mazda 3s and when I saw Adamo23s vibrant headers I saw that he had an o2 censor in them, I looked at mine and I had a tightened screw where his censor was and I'm wondering if I'm missing a censor? I have aftermarket headers so something doesn't add up . Hopefully someone has a solution...

There's no CAT in the vibrant header, therefore, there wouldn't be an O2 sensor in the header. Are you sure you saw an O2 sensor in there? O2 sensors, especially paired with an aftermarket header, are usually installed further down in your exhaust system to avoid throwing any CELs.

And in regards to fuel efficiency - its supposed to go down with headers, unless you get your car tuned (even that might not help). If not, reverting back to your stock headers would solve the problem.
